Situated right on the Santa Marina beach, the Gran Hotel del Sella is an open gallery to all the beautiful natural surroundings. The hotel is divided in two parts, reflecting Ribadesella’s past and present. It has the prestige of its history as it was the former summer palace of the Marquises of Argüelles.

Our restaurant. With a remarkable views of the beach, you can taste typical dishes from the county, as well as fresh fish and seafood from our fishpond. Our specialities are: beans with shellfish, rice with lobster, fishes cooked on the oven, angulas, county meat and a large number of desserts.

Rooms

The hotel has 76 double rooms and 5 Junior suites with amazing views to the Sella´s estuary as well as Santa Marina´s beach and the mountains. All of them have an ensuite bathroom; satellite TV, Wi-Fi and a balcony. The hotel has also a pleasant cafeteria with a nice terrace and comfortable saloons.

Our facilities, with an easy access for disabled people, are completed with a paddle court, an outdoor seawater swimming pool, garage and a modern Spa, where you can enjoy body and facial treatments.

Outdoor Activities

Ribadesella is one of the most beautiful towns of the Cantabric coast. The sea, the green mountain ranges and the Sella river configures an unique place. Apart from enjoying this patrimony and local culture, it is easy to visit the beaches, cliffs and natural views because they are all very close to the urban town centre.

After crossing the bridge over the river we reach the sands of Santa Marina. By the year 1907, the duchess of Arguelles promoted the construction of a unique housing estate, our hotel today.
The current luxurious houses and hotels in the area of Ribadesella are the result of the old mansions belonging to the aristocracy and rich latin Americans. At the shore of the river Sella, the old aristocracy used to sunbathe and swim in the sea, a perfect place for their summer holidays.

The Internacional Descend of Sella, declared of deep International Tourist Interest, is one of the most popular festivals of the summer.
